Richard M. (Mike) Black has a professional background of over 30 years in investigations and polygraph. His experience includes that as a law enforcement officer where he served in several capacities including criminal investigator, administrative assistant chief and polygraph examiner.
Additionally, he has extensive experience in workplace investigations having served as a human resource executive and assistant director of a 1000 employee mental health facility. In this capacity one of his primary responsibilities was directing and coordinating all facility internal investigations. Many of the investigations resulted in criminal prosecution and later conviction by the Office of the Attorney General.
Mr. Black has a background in professional training and development for supervisors, managers and other professionals. This experience includes research and assessment to determine the focus of training and development needs.

In addition to serving as President of the Mississippi Association of Polygraph Examiners, Mr. Black was the recipient of the 2010 David Bethea Award for Leadership, Service and Contribution to the polygraph profession.
In his current capacity as managing member of Professional Investigations & Consulting, LLC, he continues a dedication of service while maintaining only the highest of professional ethics and standards of practice.
